Guan Shanyue Art Museum

Guan Shanyue art museum is a national art museum named after Mr. Guan Shanyue, a famous Chinese painter, educator and master of Lingnan Painting School. It was founded in January 1995 and opened on the eve of Hong Kong's return to China on June 25, 1997. It is located in Futian Central District of Shenzhen City, with beautiful lotus mountain in the north and municipal square in the south. It has beautiful environment, convenient transportation, unique architectural shape and simple and elegant color. It forms a new cultural landscape in Shenzhen together with large cultural facilities such as Shenzhen concert hall, Central Library, children's palace and Shenzhen TV Center. He donated 813 pieces of his representative works in various historical periods and systematic materials on his life, art and educational practice to the people of Shenzhen. The Shenzhen municipal government highly praised Guan's selfless dedication and invested 67 million yuan to build the Guan Shanyue Art Museum, so as to treasure his works forever for the world to study and appreciate. The Museum covers an area of 8000 square meters, with a construction area of 15100 square meters. It has eight indoor standard exhibition halls, a central rotunda and an outdoor sculpture exhibition hall, with a total area of 4000 square meters and a total length of 600 meters. It can hold large-scale art exhibitions of different types and themes at the same time or separately. The exhibition hall has soft lighting, wide vision and great style. In addition, it also has modern large-scale art gallery, 6-storey multi-functional office building, conference hall, lecture hall, VIP room, tea house, restaurant, Artist Gallery, children's painting garden, painter's home and other supporting facilities, equipped with advanced central air conditioning, constant temperature and humidity, automatic fire prevention and anti-theft monitoring system.
