Bao's ancestral hall

Bao's ancestral hall is located in Yuyan village, Sixi Town, Taishun County, Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was built in Chenghua period of Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in 1847. The ancestral hall is divided into archway, outer platform gate, front hall, head gate, main hall and other parts. Among them, the archway is a three room wooden building with a width of 7.24 meters and a depth of 2.7 meters. The main hall is five rooms wide and four rooms deep. Outside the two rooms, there is a large beam 8.30 meters long and about 0.5 meters thick on the gold pillars. Under the beam is carved a phoenix play peony, with eight trigrams in the middle. Along the edge, it is engraved with 12 characters "Daoguang 27 years old, but not rebuilt". The ancestral hall adopts the symmetrical layout of the central axis, with a large scale and exquisite construction. In 1990, the Cultural Relics Bureau of Zhejiang Province appropriated funds and the masses cooperated to raise funds for renovation.
