Jiangkou niaozhou Nature Reserve

Jiangkou Bird Island, 18 kilometers away from Hengyang City, is located in Jiangkou Town, Hengnan County. It is located in the lower reaches of Leishui River, surrounded by water on all sides. It was listed as a national key Bird Nature Reserve in 1984 and is now a 3A tourist attraction. Jiangkou bird island consists of three continents, covering an area of 70 square kilometers. There are 114 species of birds in 33 families, including 42 resident birds and 39 migratory birds, with a total number of more than 100000. The first class of birds protected by the state include white crane and Heron, the second class includes mandarin duck and other 74 species, and the high economic value includes quail and ring headed pheasant.
