Panyu Square is one of the key projects to create a civilized city in Panyu District. It is located at the junction of Shiqiao Street (formerly Shiqiao Town) and Dalong Street (formerly Shiqi town). More than 46 million yuan was invested by the district government to build it in the central urban area.

brief introduction

The total area of the square is 166900 square meters, and the main square is 66300 square meters. The main square is divided into four parts: entrance area, assembly area, performance area and leisure area. There are large music fountains in the East, West and south of the square. At the south end of the square, there is an open-air performance stage with an area of 1600 square meters and a capacity of 3000 people. The square sculpture vividly records the historical facts of Panyu people's heroic resistance to the invaders during the Opium War, while the North Green Square absorbs the essence of Chinese and Western gardens. The whole building is integrated with the surrounding modern buildings and has become a new landscape in Panyu District. Panyu Square has been rated as "national characteristic cultural square" and "Top Ten Cultural Square" in Guangdong Province.

The last station at the south end of Guangzhou Metro Line 3 is Panyu Square Station. To the north of Panyu Square is the seat of Panyu District government.
