Wuji town

Wuji town is located about 25 kilometers northwest of Huaiyin City. It is adjacent to the Huaishu River in the East and Wuli Town in the East, to Siyang of Suqian City across the huaisi River in the west, to Yugou town in the south, and to the market town of Western Song Dynasty in the north. The town is about 10 kilometers long from east to west and 5 kilometers wide from north to south, covering an area of 56.97 square kilometers (2017). It has 48814 mu of arable land, including 44400 mu of sandy soil, accounting for about 90%. The rest is clay and mixed soil. The people's Government of the town is located in Wuji street. Wuji Town, formerly known as Hexing Town, began in 1920. Due to the fact that there are many people living under the Wu surname, it is also known as "Xiao Wu Ji".

In 1996, with an area of 53 square kilometers and a population of 32000, it has jurisdiction over 19 administrative villages including beiwuji, Erjia, shixiazhuang, Baowei, houdang, Wujia, Yuzhuang, Lige, Yaozhuang, beiwangji, Qiaonan, Qiaobei, Liuzhuang, Hezhao, huaidong, Huaixi, nicitang, Tanggu and Dongxu. In 2007, it has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages and 87 villager groups in Wuji, Xinyuan, Gonghe, liming, Minzhu, Sanhe, Zhenxing, houdang, Baowei, nichitang and Huaixi.
