Li Ligong was the Secretary of the county Party committee. On August 25, Xining County divided the former Daning into Daning town (governing the former Chengguan town and dangzhi township), qu'e township (governing the former qu'e Township, sang'e Township and cemei township), Sanduo township (governing the former Sanduo Township, Yucun Township and dongnanpu township) and Taigu township (governing the former Taigu Township and Kangli township), and former Taide township (governing the former Taigu Township and Kangli township) into Wucheng town. On September 25, Xining, Yonghe, Shilou and Puxian merged into Luliang County. On January 1, 1959, Weixing people's commune was renamed qu'e people's commune. In April 1961, Xining county was abolished and Daning was restored. The county was divided into 10 people's communes, namely, Taide, dangzhi, Chengguan, Nanpu, Sanduo, Yucun, qu'e, xujiaduo, Qimai and Taigu. On June 3, 27 and 29, 1963, five communes, including Taigu and Yucun, were hit by rainstorms and hail. in March 1970, the 19th medical team of the General Hospital of the Chinese people's Liberation Army came to Daning to help carry out medical and health work and treat the poor and lower middle peasants. On April 8, the PLA medical team held the first barefoot doctor training class in Sange, with 55 participants from four communes of qu'e, Xu Jiaduo, Qimai and Taigu. from 17:00 to 19:00 on July 6, 1971, there was a rainstorm in the whole county, among which Yucun, Sanduo, Nanpu and Taigu had relatively large rainfall. After the mountain torrents broke out, 4 water conservancy facilities were destroyed, more than 700 mu of land was destroyed, 14 cattle and 135 sheep were washed away. In September, the construction of Huaya Taigu highway was broken and opened to traffic in April, 1974.
