Chuguo Temple

Chuguo temple is located on the South Bank of mapang yongcuo at the foot of Gangdese mountain in Pulan County, Ali Prefecture, Tibet.

It is one of the larger and well preserved temples around the holy lake. It has a history of more than 400 years. Chuguo temple is a small temple with only a dozen monks. There is no family in the surrounding area. The temple is more than 4500 meters above sea level, with cold climate and inconvenient transportation.

To the south of chuguo temple is namunani snow mountain, whose main peak is 7694 meters above sea level. Namunani originally means "housewife's two noses" and is known as "the mountain of the Virgin Mary", which is far away from the holy mountain Gangrenboqi.
