Henan Medical College

Henan Medical College is a public college run by the people's Government of Henan Province. Founded in 1952, the school is located in Zhengzhou City, the capital of Henan Province, covering an area of 1196 mu, with a total construction area of 390000 m2, a total fixed asset value of more than 600 million yuan, 135 experimental and training rooms, 1.01 million books, 1 directly affiliated hospital and 60 practice and training bases. With modern and functional teaching facilities, the campus environment is clean and beautiful.

At present, the school has five departments, namely, medical department, nursing department, pharmacy department, medical technology department and laboratory department. There are 22 specialties (directions), including clinical medicine, nursing, midwifery, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology, optometry technology, pharmacy, pharmaceutical production technology, traditional Chinese medicine, preventive medicine, rehabilitation treatment technology, medical nutrition and health information management. Among them, nursing is the major Henan Province characteristic specialty, medical imaging technology specialty, medical laboratory technology specialty, clinical medicine specialty and pharmacy specialty are the comprehensive reform pilot specialty of colleges and universities in Henan Province. In 2017, students were recruited from 18 provinces including Henan, Hebei and Hubei. Since 2016, we have jointly carried out the training of nursing non commissioned officers with the air force.

There are more than 190 teachers with senior titles, more than 340 doctors and masters, and 9 national and provincial excellent teachers.

The school is a characteristic College of Vocational Education in Henan Province and a continuing education base for professional and technical personnel in Henan Province. It has Henan Branch Center of vocational skill appraisal guidance center of national health and Family Planning Commission, national vocational skill appraisal institute, Henan health personnel training center and Henan clinical skill training center.
