Shaanxi aviation vocational and technical college is a full-time public university with higher education enrollment qualification approved by Shaanxi Provincial People's government and filed by the Ministry of education. It is subordinate to Shaanxi Provincial Department of education and China Aviation Industry Corporation. The college attaches great importance to the theoretical research of vocational education, continuously deepens the reform of education and teaching, and establishes the college with quality. It has formed a modern higher vocational education system with distinctive school running characteristics, reasonable professional structure, clear training objectives, and perfect employment system. In September 2008, the expert group of the Ministry of education evaluated the level of talent training in the college and obtained the "excellent" evaluation conclusion. The college is located in Hanzhong, a famous historical and cultural city known as "little Jiangnan" in Northwest China. Hanzhong has been known as "the birthplace of the Han family and the cornucopia of China" since ancient times. In 2006, it was rated as "the best historical and cultural charm city of CCTV in China". At present, the college has nearly 10000 full-time students, with a usable land area of 753 mu (501560 square meters), a building area of 206984 square meters, a total value of teaching equipment of more than 40 million yuan, and a collection of more than 390000 books of various graphic information. At present, the Department of mechanical engineering, Department of mechanical and electrical engineering, Department of materials engineering, Department of electronic engineering, Department of management engineering, Department of basic studies, Ministry of continuing education, vocational skill appraisal center, scientific research department, Hanzhong Institute of industrial technology, Research Office of higher vocational education, teaching supervision office and other teaching and discipline research institutions are set up. There are 26 Higher Vocational Majors, covering five major categories of manufacturing, materials and energy, electronic information, finance and transportation. Among them, 2 provincial key majors, 2 provincial education reform pilot majors, 4 school level education reform pilot majors, 2 provincial excellent courses and 6 school level excellent courses have been built. It has advanced equipment, various kinds of laboratories that can meet the needs of teaching, school run factories and off campus practice and training bases that can meet the practice and training of nearly 1000 students at the same time. In order to highlight the practicality, openness and professionalism of the teaching process and cultivate students' practical ability, relying on the advantages of aviation resources, the college has established 51 off campus practice and training bases, including Shaanxi aircraft industry (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Liaoyuan Aviation Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in April 2007, the college was approved by the former Commission of science, technology and industry for national defense after field investigation and demonstration by the expert group of the former Commission of science, technology and industry for national defense It is one of the first batch of 15 national defense science and technology industry high (middle) and other vocational education training base construction units. Thus, a talent training mode of school enterprise cooperation, work study combination, production and education integration and service for military industry has been formed.

The college attaches great importance to the employment recommendation of graduates, and actively implements the "multi certificate" system around the goal of cultivating highly skilled talents. The college regularly holds employment fairs and special job fairs to provide fast and effective employment service platform and broad employment space for graduates, and has formed a relatively stable employment base dominated by more than 100 enterprises and institutions in China. In recent four years, the employment rate of graduates of our college has been maintained at more than 96%, especially the graduates majoring in metal materials and heat treatment technology, hydraulic and pneumatic technology, welding technology and automation, with a one-time employment rate of 99%. The employment rates of graduates in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 were 98.55%, 96.77%, 96.68% and 96.16% respectively, which were higher than the average level of the whole province for four consecutive years and ranked the top among the similar universities in the province. The quality of graduates' employment has been improved year by year. They are favored and praised by employers for their high professional quality, excellent skills and strong adaptability, thus forming a good employment system based on the aviation industry and radiating all sectors of the country.

Enrollment plan: in 2009, our college enrolled 3200 students from 9 provinces and cities in China, and 2945 students from Shaanxi (including 2790 students from general enrollment plan and 155 students from single enrollment plan).

Enrollment objects and length of schooling: ① enroll candidates for the national college entrance examination in 2009; ② enroll students from three schools who participated in the "separate entrance examination" organized by Shaanxi Province in 2009. The length of schooling of each major is three years.

The system of award, assistance and loan

(1) Student origin credit loan: it is a bank loan to help newly admitted college students with financial difficulties to pay their tuition and accommodation during their study in school. In principle, the loan amount should not exceed 6000 yuan per student per academic year. Before the beginning of the new semester, students need to apply for loans to the student financial aid management center (usually located in the County Education Bureau) of the county (city, district) where their families are located. The county-level student financial aid management center is responsible for the qualification examination of the applications submitted by students, and the bank is responsible for the final approval and loan issuance. When the freshmen report to the college, they must issue the student loan agreement signed with the local bank (or credit union) or the written certificate issued by the student financial aid management center of the county that they are going through the loan procedures. After these materials are examined and approved by the relevant departments of the college, they can go through the enrollment registration procedures.

(2) Scholarship: used to reward students with excellent character and learning. A. National Scholarship: 8000 yuan per person per year; B. national inspirational scholarship: 5000 yuan per person per year; C. college scholarship: 1500 yuan per person per year. The scholarship will be awarded to the students once a year.

(3) National grants: mainly used to subsidize the living expenses of students with financial difficulties in school. The students with special financial difficulties are 2500 yuan per person per year, while the students with general financial difficulties are 1500 yuan per person per year. The assessment is conducted once every academic year, and the state grants are distributed to the students on a monthly basis.

Salary of graduates: students who have completed their studies and passed the examination will be awarded the diploma of general higher education which is supervised by the Ministry of education and registered electronically, and the degree will be recognized by the state. According to the principle of "two-way choice and self employment", graduates are recommended for employment by the college graduate employment guidance service center, and the Shaanxi Graduate Employment Guidance Center handles the relevant procedures of employment registration.
