Xiangfan university is a national second-class multi-disciplinary general undergraduate college. The college is located in Xiangfan, a famous historical and cultural city in China, the second largest city in Hubei Province and one of the three largest tourist cities in Hubei Province. The college is located in the former residence of Zhuge Liang in Gulongzhong, a national scenic spot. It is an ideal place for students to study and further their studies. The college now covers an area of more than 1500 mu, and the library has a collection of more than 800000 books. The college has nearly 11000 full-time school-based and junior college students. At present, the college has 1250 teaching staff, including 653 full-time teachers, 206 teachers with the titles of professor and associate professor, and 179 teachers with doctor's and master's degrees. At present, Xiangfan university has 30 undergraduate majors and 4 majors, which belong to eight disciplines, including pedagogy, literature, history, science, engineering, economics, law and management. The college pays attention to quality education and adheres to the educational purpose of "all for students, all for students and all for students". In 2003, 43 people won the first and second prizes in national and provincial competitions such as challenge cup and CCTV Cup English speech contest. The employment rate of college graduates has always been in the forefront of the province. In 2003, the initial employment rate of graduates reached 97.17%. The employment radiation college always employs foreign teachers to teach and give lectures in the University. It has signed a joint school running agreement with the New York Institute of technology in the United States, and sends international students to the Yi'an Institute of technology in Singapore and the Kostroma National University of technology in Russia. The development goal of the College: through 3-5 years' efforts, Xiangfan college will be built into a comprehensive university with 15000 people, cultivating innovative spirit and practical ability of senior professionals for social development and economic construction, and having a certain influence in similar colleges and universities in China.
