Beijing Institute of materials and materials is an ordinary university in Beijing, which mainly trains high-quality professionals for the field of circulation. Its predecessor was the Department of material management established by Beijing Institute of economics in 1963. In 1980, in order to meet the needs of China's reform and opening up and socialist economic development for material management personnel, the State Council approved the establishment of the Beijing Institute of materials. In 1998, the state adjusted the management system of higher education, and the school was under the management of Beijing. After decades of hard work, pioneering and innovation, the university has basically developed into a multi-disciplinary university of Finance and economics, which covers economics, management, science, engineering, literature, law and other disciplines. The school is located in Tongzhou District, Beijing. Located at the source of the famous Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal, it has a long history with profound cultural accumulation. It is close to the exit of Jingtong expressway, with convenient transportation and elegant environment. The campus covers an area of more than 600 mu, with a construction area of more than 170000 square meters. It is a "civilized campus" and "garden style unit" awarded by Beijing.

The school has 693 teaching staff, including 394 full-time teachers, 34 professors and 105 associate professors. The school has seven departments, including school of economics, School of logistics, School of information, School of business, Department of labor and personnel, Department of foreign languages and Department of law and politics, as well as teaching institutions such as physical education department and College of adult education. The University began to recruit postgraduates in 1986. At present, it has five master's programs: industrial economics, management science and engineering, enterprise management, labor economics and logistics engineering. The school always adheres to the teaching work as the center, constantly deepening the reform of education and teaching, and constantly improving the quality of teaching. The university has built 7 scientific research bases and 27 scientific research and innovation teams. In the past three years, the university has undertaken one national science and technology project, five National Natural Science Foundation and social science foundation projects, 11 provincial and ministerial level projects, published 153 monographs, translations and textbooks, and published 1538 academic papers. The research results of the key technology research and development of modern circulation industry in small towns, a national key technology project in the tenth five year plan, have a great impact on the industry. "Beijing Logistics blue book" edited by our professor won the second prize of Beijing Philosophy and social science research, which filled a gap in Beijing logistics research. The University attaches importance to academic exchanges and friendly exchanges with universities, scientific research institutions and social organizations at home and abroad. It actively cooperates with Beijing Normal University in running schools; cooperates with universities and scientific research institutions such as Peking University and Hunan University; and sends young teachers to Peking University, China Agricultural University, Nankai University and other well-known domestic universities for further study or doctorate.
