Zhangzhou Jima printing vocational and technical college is a private college founded by Fujian Jima group Zhangzhou Jima Color Printing Co., Ltd. It was officially established in 2007 with the approval of Fujian Provincial People's government and the record of the Ministry of Education (International Code 14115). The college is located in the east of Lantian Industrial Development Zone in Zhangzhou City, adjacent to the famous yundongyan tourist area. The college covers an area of 214 mu. The first phase is planned to reach 2010, with a total investment of 300 million yuan. There will be more than 5000 full-time students and a building area of 90000 square meters. At present, the school covers an area of 50000 square meters, with more than 200 full-time teachers, books in line with national school running standards, and excellent experimental and practical training equipment. The workshop of off campus training base is 30000 square meters, and the value of modern digital printing machinery and equipment is more than 80 million yuan.

The college is an ordinary higher vocational college at the junior college level, which mainly provides full-time diploma education and non diploma education with various forms of vocational skill training and skill appraisal. The college is the training base of "Fujian printing and reproduction industry professional skill appraisal station" established by Fujian Provincial Press and Publication Bureau and provincial labor and social security department.

In January 2008, the people's Government of Fujian Province transmitted the document "guidance on accelerating the development of printing industry in our province" issued by the provincial development and Reform Commission and the provincial press and Publication Bureau. In the document, it is specially mentioned that we should speed up the training of skilled talents in printing industry through various ways and "support the development of Zhangzhou Jima printing vocational and Technical College". There are 3500 printing and packaging enterprises in Fujian, and more than 100000 printing and packaging enterprises in China. At present, only one higher vocational college has started to cultivate talents in the direction of printing and packaging. The enrollment number of college entrance examination plan issued by the provincial department is far from meeting the demand of printing industry in our province for talents. In order to speed up the training of printing and packaging and related practical skilled talents, Fujian's economy is developing well and fast, and the economic construction of the west coast of the Straits is being carried out on a large scale. It is necessary to speed up the training of various professional talents urgently needed by the country. Based on the actual situation of our college, our college began to recruit students from the pilot major of self-taught examination this year ("small self-taught examination"), and carried out self-taught examination tutorial class ("big self-taught examination"). In the future, according to the development of printing and packaging, information communication technology and industrial modernization technology in Fujian, under the guidance of the provincial self-taught examination office, our college will successively apply for the establishment of a number of specialties urgently needed in Fujian's economic construction.
