Lishui vocational and Technical College

Lishui vocational and technical college is a full-time public university approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's government. Founded in 1946, the college is based on Zhejiang forestry school, a provincial key technical secondary school founded in 1953, and Zhejiang Lishui commercial school founded in 1976. In December 2000, the college was merged and upgraded to a higher vocational college. In April 2004, the college passed the qualification assessment of talent training of Higher Vocational colleges of Zhejiang Provincial Department of education. In June 2007, it passed the assessment of the expert group of the Ministry of education, and was identified as the "National Vocational College" In August 2008, it successfully applied for the construction unit of Demonstration Higher Vocational Colleges in Zhejiang Province.

The college now covers an area of 470 mu, with a building area of 158000 square meters and a total teaching equipment value of more than 32 million yuan. There are 368 teaching staff, including 12 professors and 98 associate professors with senior titles. The college has four branches, namely environmental engineering, mechanical and electrical information, finance and trade management, arts and sports, with 29 Higher Vocational Majors and nearly 7500 students. In the past three years, the initial employment rate of graduates has remained above 96%, and the satisfaction of employers has reached above 98%.

In the practice of running a school for more than half a century, teachers and students of the college have adhered to the school running purpose of serving "agriculture, rural areas and farmers", carried forward the school spirit of "seeking truth, being pragmatic and constantly striving for self-improvement" and the school motto of "cultivating people with trees and advancing knowledge at the same time", and formed the school running characteristics of "four sides work hand in hand, project driven and production education".

The college adheres to the employment orientation and constantly innovates the talent training mode of "school enterprise cooperation, work study combination" with its own characteristics. At present, there are 2 training bases (Horticulture and Landscape Architecture) supported by the central government, 8 national "11th Five Year Plan" teaching materials, 8 provincial high-quality courses, 6 provincial new century teaching reform projects, 1 provincial excellent teaching team, 2 provincial famous teachers, 4 provincial young and middle-aged professional leaders, and 2 provincial college teaching rookies, which are selected as the second "151" talent project of Zhejiang Province There are 7 people at three levels. From 2006 to 2008, students won 135 awards in more than 10 disciplines (skills) competitions in China and the whole province (including 21 first prizes, 33 second prizes, 76 third prizes and 5 best organization prizes), and their overall performance ranked in the forefront of Higher Vocational Colleges in the province. The quality-oriented education focusing on the cultivation of professional ethics has achieved remarkable results. A large number of advanced models have emerged, such as "advanced individuals of moral construction in Zhejiang Province", "top 10 persons of the year of Chinese college students in 2007", "green public welfare envoys in Zhejiang Province".

The college attaches great importance to social service, and has built a cooperative service platform with the government, enterprises, rural areas and schools (institutes) as the radiation source. Outstanding achievements have been made in urban greening, village and town planning, tourism development, agricultural efficiency, farmers' prosperity, labor transfer and training, and rural cultural construction. In recent years, the science and technology service mode of school enterprise cooperation has also achieved remarkable results. It has undertaken more than 80 horizontal projects and won more than 10 national, provincial and municipal science and technology progress awards, spark awards and harvest awards.
