Guizhou Vocational and Technical College of light industry was established in February 2004 with the approval of Guizhou Provincial People's government. It is subordinate to Guizhou Provincial Department of education. It covers an area of 1000 mu and has a planned building area of 390000 square meters. The campus is located in Huaxi University Town, Guizhou Province. It is a major school to hold higher vocational education, as well as secondary vocational education and pre and post vocational training. It integrates engineering technology, information technology, arts and crafts, and economy Management, tourism services as one of the full-time comprehensive higher vocational and technical colleges. At present, there are seven departments, three departments, 44 majors and 10000 students in higher vocational colleges.
