Fujian Commercial College is a commercial college directly under the Provincial Department of education. It is located at the foot of Wufeng mountain in Gulou District of Fuzhou City. Its origin can be traced back to the "Academy of Fuzhou Youth Association", which was founded in 1906. After liberation, the private Fuzhou Youth League Business Vocational School (Qingshang), Fujian Provincial senior business vocational school (Gaoshang) and Fuzhou Municipal Junior Business Vocational School (Shishang) were merged. Later, they moved to their places and changed their names. In 1974, they were named Fujian business school. In 1984, it was upgraded to a college with the approval of the Ministry of education. At present, it covers an area of 916.81 mu, and Pandu campus is under construction.

The school has been awarded the "advanced unit of social practice" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the "advanced collective of employment work for college and secondary school graduates in Fujian Province in 2004-2006" by the Provincial Department of personnel, the "advanced unit of Vocational education in Fujian Province" and the "advanced unit of logistics work in Colleges and universities" by the Provincial Department of education.

In October 2007, the school obtained the excellent grade of the Ministry of education's talent training level evaluation of higher vocational colleges. In July 2008, it was identified as a "Model Higher Vocational College in Fujian Province" by the Provincial Department of education, the provincial development and Reform Commission and the Provincial Department of finance.

In recent years, with the efforts of party secretary and President Guo Yintu and the active cooperation of the team members, the university has won a total of 52 million yuan of "central finance and local co construction fund". With the guarantee of funds, the school has made great progress in all aspects. By the end of December 2008, there were 6535 students in the school, including 2096 in the higher vocational base. The registered fixed assets are 130 million yuan.

School teaching facilities, advanced equipment. It has 49 experimental (training) rooms, including digital campus network, digital library, basic laboratory, embedded laboratory, information analysis comprehensive laboratory, computer accounting laboratory and e-commerce laboratory.

The structure of teachers is reasonable and their quality is excellent. At present, there are 355 teaching staff. In the teaching team, there are 6 teachers with high professional titles such as professors, 71 associate professors with deputy high professional titles, 2 experts enjoying special subsidies from the State Council Government, 1 provincial candidate for the new century million talent project, 3 tutors for master's degree students, 135 teachers with master's degree or above, including 5 doctors (including those who are studying) and 83 teachers with "double qualification". At the same time, 4 foreign teachers and 148 middle and senior technicians and managers of enterprises and institutions are employed as part-time teachers.

At present, the school has formed a school running pattern with financial accounting, economic and trade, marketing, business administration and other financial majors as the main majors, and tourism, art, media, electronic information, culture and education as the coordinated development majors. The school has 8 departments and 3 departments, namely Department of business administration, Department of economy and trade, Department of accounting, Department of computer, Department of tourism, Department of business and art, Department of foreign languages, Department of Journalism and communication, Department of Ideological and political education, Department of basic education and Department of continuing education; there are 32 majors, including business enterprise management, economic information management, logistics management, human resource management, property management, community service and management, and computerized accounting Accounting and auditing, taxation (Enterprise Accounting and taxation), marketing, international business, international trade practice (International Logistics and customs declaration), e-commerce, chain operation management, computer application technology, computer network technology, embedded system application development, software technology, tourism management, exhibition planning and management, hotel management (Tourism and Hotel Management), tourism English , decoration art design, advertising design and production, fashion design, tourism crafts design and production, news gathering and production, secretary, information dissemination and planning, hosting and broadcasting, applied English, applied Japanese, etc. In recent years, the university has also jointly run schools with Southwest Jiaotong University, Beijing Language and Culture University and Northeast University of Finance and economics, offering undergraduate level network education and correspondence education.

The University attaches great importance to the development of teaching and scientific research. The university has sponsored the academic journal Journal of Fujian College of Commerce, which is published at home and abroad. The school teachers presided over or participated in 98 scientific research projects at all levels, including 3 at the provincial level and 32 at the Department of education. They published 700 teaching and research papers, 11 monographs, and 37 teaching materials, of which 3 won prizes. The school has 2 provincial excellent majors, 2 provincial teaching achievement awards, 8 provincial excellent courses and 4 provincial excellent courses.

The school has made remarkable achievements in personnel training. Up to now, the school has trained more than 30000 applied business management talents for the society. With the deepening of market economy, the school puts forward the slogan of "creating talents for business and creating brand for talents", attaches importance to students' export and highlights practical teaching. Graduates are welcomed by employers for their solid professional theory, strong practical ability, good professional ethics, strong sense of cooperation, fast adaptation to work and sufficient development potential. According to the statistics of the Provincial Personnel Department, the year-end employment rates of graduates in 2006, 2007 and 2008 were 97.5%, 95.9% and 98.1% respectively. In 2007, he won the first place in Fujian Province.
