Xi'an Conservatory of music is located in the southern suburb of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. Founded in 1949, it is the only higher music institution in Northwest China. At present, the college has eight professional departments, including secondary music school, adult education college, training college and four orchestras (Symphony Orchestra, National Orchestra, chorus, Symphony Orchestra). Master degree majors cover all professional directions except dance. At present, there are more than 480 teaching staff and 3300 students. In 1948, when the Chinese people's Liberation War came to an all-round victory, general he long founded the Northwest art school in the liberated area of Shanxi and Suizhou. The second "Music Department" was the predecessor of Xi'an Conservatory of music. In May 1949, Northwest art school moved to Xi'an along with northwest military and Political University in crossing the Yellow River. After the merger of the two schools, they were named "Art College of Northwest military and Political University". After that, Xi'an Conservatory of music was restored in 1980 after the changes of Northwest Academy of art, northwest Academy of art, Xi'an Conservatory of music, Xi'an Conservatory of music, Shaanxi Academy of art and Shaanxi Academy of art. Now it is a provincial college directly under the Education Department of Shaanxi Province. At present, the college has 481 in-service staff, including 211 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 18 professors and 66 associate professors, accounting for nearly 40% of the total number of full-time teachers; there are 70 with senior professional titles and 68 with deputy senior professional titles, accounting for 28.7% of the total number of teaching staff; there are 52 external teachers. The college has professional musicology, composition and composition technology theory, music performance and dance choreography. Vocal music: the Department of vocal music was founded in 1949. In recent years, a series of reform measures have been taken, such as the sign in system of professional courses, the single choice system of professional courses, and the addition of professional elective courses, to strengthen the management and improve the quality of teaching. At present, there are four teaching and research sections of bel canto, national, popular and piano accompaniment, with strong teachers and fruitful teaching results. In recent years, it has almost won all kinds of awards in the province's vocal music competitions, and has achieved excellent results in international vocal music competitions. In September 2000, he Hui took part in the Domingo world opera competition held in Los Angeles, USA, and won the silver medal; in April 2002, he won the first place in the 42nd Verdi International Vocal Competition in Italy; in October 2000, Cai zhanke won the second place in the second Thomas Alcade International Vocal Competition; in August 2002, Chen Yong won the bel canto of the professional group of the 10th National TV singer Grand Prix She won the first place in singing, and Mi Zhuo won the national singing Excellence Award of the professional group. Folk music: the folk music department was established in 1956. In the early days of its establishment, a group of first-class performers from all over the country came to teach in the Department, which laid a solid theoretical and technical foundation for the establishment of a teaching system of Chinese national musical instruments with strong local cultural characteristics. At present, it has three teaching and research departments, including bowstring, plucked string and wind music, 13 majors, nearly 200 textbooks, more than 10 monographs and nearly 100 papers. Over the years, a number of creative works have won awards in the country, and many people have won awards in the national professional performance competition. The National Orchestra has carried out social art practice for many times over the years and accumulated a large number of excellent repertoire, which has a certain influence at home and abroad. In May 2002, the program of "Qinfeng Qinyun" was jointly recorded with CCTV's "fragrance of national music" program, which lasted 130 minutes, showing a strong ability of folk music teaching and artistic practice. He has visited Japan, the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Malaysia and other countries, and has held concerts and artistic exchanges in Hong Kong and Taiwan for many times. Music Education: the Department of music education was founded in 1958. Over the past 40 years, it has trained thousands of music education talents in universities, middle schools and primary schools for the country. Since 1992, it has been continuously designated as the experimental unit of teaching reform by the Ministry of education. Its main courses include vocal music, keyboard, accompaniment and improvisation, chorus and conducting method, basic music theory, Chinese and foreign music history, dance knowledge, etc. it undertakes the responsibilities of curriculum structure, teaching materials, teaching specifications and modes, etc The experimental task is one of the important bases for training music and art education talents in China, and enjoys a high reputation in domestic students. There are more than 80 teachers in the Department of music education, and more than 1500 undergraduate students, accounting for nearly half of the total number of students. In 1994, the college, Xi'an Jiaotong University and other three colleges and universities were identified as the pilot colleges of Shaanxi provincial reform by Shaanxi Provincial Department of education, taking the lead in implementing the merger of enrollment. The college is one of the first batch of universities approved by the Ministry of education to accept foreign students. It has always adhered to the export-oriented school running mechanism. It has received foreign students from Britain, the United States, Italy, Japan, Malaysia and other countries, as well as from Hong Kong and Taiwan. It has established exchanges and cooperation with music colleges and academic institutions in the United States, Japan, Germany, Malaysia and other countries and regions. In recent years, the college has made remarkable achievements in teaching, scientific research, ideological education, administration, art practice, foreign exchange, logistics socialization, industrial development, etc. In the past ten years, the college has increased the investment and construction of campus infrastructure and teaching hardware, and actively improved the education environment. The campus environment is clean, beautiful and elegant. Since 1996, it has been rated as "civilized campus" by the Education Working Committee of the provincial Party committee and the Provincial Department of education for six consecutive years. Since 2000, the college has further deepened the education reform, comprehensively launched the "1 + 1" (cultural literacy reaches the level of ordinary universities; artistic literacy reaches the level of art colleges) talent training project, and improved the music cultural literacy and comprehensive quality of college students. With the accumulation of more than half a century and the development in recent years, the college has a group of high-quality and stable teaching, scientific research and management teams, and has cultivated a large number of excellent professionals for the country. Many teachers and students have won the performance, singing and creation awards of international and domestic music competitions for many times. In December 2001, during the third National Conference on the reform of logistics socialization in Colleges and universities held in Xi'an, Vice Premier Li Lanqing visited Xi'an Conservatory of music twice and watched symphonic concerts.
