The College of science and technology of Nanchang aviation university is an applied technology-based undergraduate college with engineering management as the main subject and coordinated development of engineering, management, arts, science, economics, arts and other disciplines. In July 2001, approved by Jiangxi Provincial Department of education and Jiangxi Provincial Planning and Development Commission, the college is one of the first batch of independent colleges confirmed by the Ministry of education.

The college has two campuses, Shanghai Road and Gongqing science and education city. Shanghai Road Campus is located in the center of hero city Nanchang, 173 Shanghai Road, Nanchang, covering an area of more than 600 mu. Gongqing science and Education City campus is located in the national Ganjiang new area, the middle of Changjiu economic belt, the southern foot of Lushan Mountain and the shore of Poyang Lake. The total construction investment is 800 million yuan, covering an area of more than 1000 mu, and the school building area is 200000 square meters. The high starting point of science and Education City Campus introduces the concept of intelligent campus management, and actively creates a modern campus with beautiful ecology, first-class service facilities and advanced teaching equipment campus.

At present, the college has five teaching departments, including the Department of machinery and materials, the Department of information and electronics, the Department of management and economics, the Department of literature and art, and the Department of Ideological and political education, with 34 undergraduate majors, more than 9000 students and 303 full-time teachers.
