Dongfang College of Zhejiang University of Finance and economics is an independent college approved by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government in 1999 and confirmed by the Ministry of education in 2004. The college is a full-time undergraduate college established according to the new school running mode and operation mechanism. At present, there are more than 6700 undergraduates.

The college has Wenhua campus and Chang'an campus. Wenhua campus is located in the north of Hangzhou West Lake scenic area with beautiful scenery and the cultural and educational District in the west of the city with rich cultural atmosphere. It covers an area of more than 200 mu and a building area of 74200 square meters. The Chang'an campus under construction is located in the north of Hangzhou Bay, Haining LIANHANG Economic Zone, the capital of leather and culture in China.
