The custom of catching fish in winter in Chagannur is popular in the surrounding areas of chaganhu lake and Yueliangpao in qianguoerdos Mongolian Autonomous County of Jilin Province. Chagan Lake is one of the seven largest freshwater lakes in China. It is called "Chagannur" in Mongolian, which means "White Lake" and "holy lake".
Northeast China has a long history of fishing and hunting. Chagan Lake has always been a natural place for fishing and hunting. Mongolian people worship nature and have the custom of offering sacrifices to heaven, mountains and water.
