Beijing Vocational College of political science and law

Beijing Vocational College of political science and law is a full-time higher vocational college approved by the Beijing Municipal People's government and registered by the Ministry of education. It is under the leadership of the political science and Law Commission of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and under the professional leadership and guidance of the Beijing Municipal Commission of education.

The college is based in Beijing, serving politics and law, and facing the modern service industry related to law. It focuses on applied law education, highlights the talent training characteristics of "establishing morality and law, emphasizing ability and strengthening technology", and focuses on cultivating high-quality applied legal talents and grass-roots legal practice talents engaged in legal auxiliary work. The college is the training base for secretaries of Beijing Higher People's court, and is one of the first batch of construction units of Beijing demonstrative higher vocational colleges.

The college covers an area of 372000 square meters, with a total building area of 87000 square meters. The new campus with a total building area of 150000 square meters is under planning and construction. The total value of teaching equipment is more than 33 million yuan, and there are more than 80 training bases inside and outside the school. There are 390000 paper books in the library. There are 320 teaching staff, including 210 full-time teachers.

The college sets up majors according to social needs, relying on industry to build majors, and combining work with study to strengthen majors. Now it has applied law department, social law work department, security department, economic and Trade Law Department, and information technology department. It has 18 majors with 4300 full-time students. It delivers more than 1300 qualified graduates to the society every year, and the employment rate of graduates has been stable at about 95% for a long time. There are 1 municipal excellent applied law teaching team, 2 Municipal Higher Vocational demonstration training bases and 3 Municipal Higher Vocational demonstration majors.

The college also has the Party School of the political and Legal Affairs Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, the training center for medium and high-level legal talents in Beijing, the capital judicial police training center, and the capital political and legal network, with an average annual training of more than 4000 people for political and legal leading cadres, judicial police, lawyers, etc. It provides powerful talent and intellectual support for the construction of the rule of law in the capital.
