The school of modern economics and management of Jiangxi University of Finance and economics is an undergraduate college that focuses on economics and management, and develops law, engineering, arts and other disciplines in a coordinated way. The college was established in August 2001 with the approval of Jiangxi Provincial Department of education and Jiangxi Provincial Development Planning Commission, and was confirmed by the Ministry of education in December 2003.

The college is located in Changbei, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, covering an area of more than 460 mu, with complete teaching and living facilities and beautiful environment. Relying on the abundant educational resources and advantageous disciplines of Jiangxi University of Finance and economics, the college adheres to the road of "quality based" with teaching as the center and student development as the foundation. The main body of teachers in the college is from Jiangxi University of Finance and economics. At present, there are more than 330 teachers, of which 52% are teachers with deputy high professional title or above, and 43% are teachers with master's degree or above.

The college began to recruit undergraduates in 2001. The length of schooling is four years, and there are more than 5730 students at present. At present, the college has six teaching departments, including economics department, accounting department, business administration department, information management department, arts and law department and foreign language department, with accounting, certified public accountant, financial management, international economy and trade, finance, marketing, e-commerce, human resource management, computer science and technology, information management and information system, tourism management, law and logistics management Science, industrial design, English, journalism and other 16 professional. In 2009, we enrolled students from 26 provinces (municipalities and autonomous regions) including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Jilin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Heilongjiang and Chongqing, with 1123 students in Jiangxi. Students of logistics management, law, tourism management, human resource management, international economy and trade, accounting, finance, industrial design, English, journalism and other 10 majors admitted in 2009 have been studying in the college headquarters; freshmen of other 6 majors have studied in the teaching site of Nanchang Army College in the first year and returned to the college headquarters in the second year.

The college implements the academic year credit system and tries out the teaching management system of double majors and double degrees. Students who have spare time to learn can choose a second major or a second degree. The college will issue the graduation certificate of School of modern economics and management of Jiangxi University of Finance and economics to the students who meet the graduation conditions, and the graduates who meet the bachelor's degree awarding conditions can be granted the bachelor's degree of School of modern economics and management of Jiangxi University of Finance and economics.
