Liaoning Police College

Liaoning Police College is the only provincial public security college in Liaoning Province. The University was founded in 1960 and established a junior college in 1985. In 1992, it was rated as A-class school by the Ministry of public security. In 1995, it took the lead in independently running undergraduate programs in similar public security colleges and universities in China. Since its establishment 47 years ago, the school has trained more than 20000 graduates for the public security, judicial, security, customs, armed police border defense forces and other systems in China and Liaoning.

The school is located in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city in Liaoning Province. In October 2006, a new campus covering an area of 808 Mu was built and put into use, and the whole school was relocated. The new campus is close to the mountain and the sea, with elegant environment, including teaching building, experimental building, library, training hall, canteen, student apartment and other buildings, with a total construction area of nearly 150000 square meters. It is divided into five functional areas: teaching office area, life service area, sports and leisure area, police skills training area and police training area. The reasonable functional differentiation reflects the people-oriented design concept and modern, international, digital and garden campus characteristics. It is a learning garden for students to explore knowledge, increase talents and improve skills.

The school adheres to the school running purpose of serving the public security and judicial front line, strictly administers the school and education according to law, implements strict policing management, and has a good school spirit, teaching style and study style. It mainly cultivates political firmness, loyalty to the party, the motherland, the people and the law for the public security and judicial organs of the whole province, and systematically grasps the professional basic theory and basic skills, with moral, intellectual and physical integrity It is a high-quality applied talents with innovative spirit and practical ability. The undergraduate courses of public security and justice include investigation, criminal science and technology, investigation (Public Security), investigation (economic crime), investigation (Criminal Justice), investigation (domestic security), criminal science and Technology (trace inspection), criminal science and Technology (network security and computer crime) and criminal science and Technology (road traffic safety) There are two majors and seven professional directions in the field of public security and justice, and three majors and professional directions in the field of public security management, police command and tactics, and criminal execution (Prison Administration).

At the same time, the University also gives full play to the advantages of resources to hold higher vocational and technical education. Higher vocational education adheres to employment orientation, and cultivates skilled talents with obvious specialty and strong entrepreneurial ability. Higher vocational colleges set up computer application technology, software technology, administrative management (security direction), administrative management (foreign security direction) and other four majors and professional direction.

The school has six departments of investigation, public security technology, public security management, prison management, public security information, police training and vocational education department. At present, there are more than 6000 full-time ordinary college students, including nearly 5000 public security and judicial students and more than 1000 non public security vocational students.

The school has more than 500 staff, including more than 300 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, there are 15 professors, more than 110 associate vocational teachers, 109 teachers with graduate degree or above, and a team of high-quality teachers with reasonable structure, modern teaching philosophy and competence to implement quality education.

The school has complete teaching and training facilities, including 5 basic laboratories such as computer and voice room, 17 professional laboratories such as trace inspection, criminal laboratory and computer forensics, and 16 practical teaching and training places such as shooting, catching and fighting, and arresting tactics. The total value of teaching instruments and equipment is more than 30 million yuan. The library has a collection of more than 600000 books and 30 off campus practice bases.

Anshan campus is adjacent to Qianshan Scenic Area, covering an area of 115 mu, with a building area of 17800 square meters, complete teaching facilities and strong teaching staff. It mainly undertakes the task of training public security professionals.

In recent years, the school has vigorously strengthened quality education, actively promoted the reform and innovation of talent training mode, curriculum system, teaching content and teaching methods, strengthened practical teaching, paid attention to improving students' comprehensive quality and innovation ability, established and continuously improved teaching quality monitoring system, and steadily improved teaching quality. During the Tenth Five Year Plan period, the university has approved 54 provincial and ministerial level projects, published 19 works, 47 teaching materials, and more than 1300 academic papers, among which 119 were published in national core journals, and 36 were awarded various government achievement awards.
