ATM inter-bank cash withdrawal charges to be reduced!
The reporter learned from the CIRC on the 25th that the CIRC, together with the people's Bank of China, has guided the industry association to launch measures to reduce the handling charge for inter-bank cash withdrawal through ATM.

According to the proposal jointly issued by China Banking Association and China payment and clearing Association, the service charge for inter-bank withdrawal of intra city ATM is reduced to no more than 3.5 yuan per transaction; Cancel the handling charge of cross bank cash withdrawal in different places, and charge the variable fee according to a certain proportion of the withdrawal amount, and the fixed fee is consistent with the business standard in the same city.
According to the CIRC, after the implementation of the proposal, the service charge for inter-bank cash withdrawal by ATM has been significantly reduced, with a decrease of more than 10% for intra city business and more than 80% for large value non local business. According to preliminary calculation, it is estimated that the scale of fee reduction and profit transfer is about 4 billion yuan per year.
The proposal proposes a one month transitional period. The CIRC said it would work with the people's Bank of China to promote the China Banking Association and China payment and clearing association to perform their self-discipline functions and urge all banks and clearing institutions to implement fee reduction measures.
