[source] it is the pine root in the middle of sclerotia of Polyporaceae. The plant morphology is detailed in "Poria cocos".

[medicinal material] most of Fu Shen wood are crooked pine roots, with residual Fu Shen on the outside, white or gray white, and woody on the inside. It is light and has no rotten skin.
