Yuntaishan Provincial Forest Park, formerly known as guizhaishan and jushengzhai, is located in Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province

Niuquan Town, 578 meters above sea level. Because there is a platform on the top of the mountain, when there are clouds and fog around the mountain, it must rain, so it is also called Yuntai mountain.

Development history

According to historical data, in 500 AD, Duke Ding of Lu and Duke Jing of Qi formed an alliance in jiaguyu, which is called "jiaguyu alliance" in history. The alliance was promoted by Confucius with courtesy. After the alliance, they climbed the top of guizhai mountain from the southwest gate, pointed out the scope of returning the land to Lu, built a platform for thanking others here as a memorial, and changed the Shanzhai to "thanking others village" to show their sincerity. From then on, three huge stones were born on the east side of the mountain top of Yuntai, with different postures, just like three Confucius (Confucius, qijinggong, Dinggong). Since then, Qi and Lu became friendly neighbors, so guizhaishan has become a symbol of peace and stability.

In recent years, Yuntai Mountain tourist area has invested nearly 10 million yuan, and gradually built an ecological tourist area integrating landscape tourism, revolutionary education, catering and accommodation, and entertainment. In 2001, Yuntai Mountain monk cave, the former site of the first Laiwu county Party committee, was rebuilt. A statue of Liu Zhongying, Secretary of Shandong Working Committee and the first Secretary of Laiwu county Party committee, and a monument of "red flag floating for thousands of generations" inscribed by Yang Dezhi, former member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the CPC, were built. It has become an important position for carrying out revolutionary traditional education. At the same time, Yuntai Mountain has been built into a provincial forest park in 2002. There are many natural and cultural scenic spots around it, such as wagging dove cave, Bixia Yuanjun palace, Huangchao Luoma place, Yibu Sanyan well, etc. Every year on March 3 of the lunar calendar, the Yuntai Mountain meeting attracts tens of thousands of people from eight neighboring villages to come for an outing. The hegelou reservoir at the foot of Yuntai Mountain is one of the eight reservoirs in Laiwu City. The backwater of the reservoir is several kilometers south around Yuntai Mountain, with a water surface area of more than 1000 mu. With rippling blue waves, sparkling water, beautiful scenery and fairyland, it is a good place for red tourism and leisure tourism.
