Shanghai Songhu Anti Japanese War Memorial Park

Shanghai Songhu Anti Japanese War Memorial Park is located in Songbao area, Baoshan District, Shanghai, with Binjiang Avenue in the East and Donglin road in the west, covering a total area of 10.6 hectares. In 1956, Baoshan built a park on the ancient site of Baoshan Temple in Qing Dynasty, named "Gongqing Park", and in October 1962, it was renamed "Linjiang Park".

In order to create the characteristics of Songhu Anti Japanese War, Linjiang Park implemented the first phase of closed park reconstruction project in April 2015, and changed its name to "Shanghai Songhu Anti Japanese War Memorial Park" in June 2015. It mainly transforms the connection between the east entrance and Binjiang Avenue, the memorial theme square, the surrounding environment of the memorial hall and the new cultural exhibition area. As one of the 88 memorial sites in China, the design and construction of the project adheres to the concept of "integration of Museum and garden" and "combination of culture and green", and focuses on building "one center and four bases", namely Songhu Anti Japanese War History Exhibition Center and Songhu Anti Japanese War History research base, patriotism education demonstration base, national defense education base and cross-strait cultural exchange base, becoming the key cultural museum venues in Shanghai.

The main public artworks of Songhu Anti Japanese War Memorial Park include "gathering" the fire of victory, "historical ripples", relief wall "Songhu war song", "Anti Japanese War relics", sculpture "jie-1937" and "historical gate", "Shanghai Songhu Anti Japanese war monument", "Songhu military and civil resistance against Japanese army" art installation, as well as "warning bell" and "Anti Japanese war culture art wall".
