Perennial grass liana, more than 3 meters long. The stem is limbic, glabrous, single leaf alternate, leaf blade 3-lobed, outline slightly oblate, 5-11.5 cm long, 7-12.5 cm wide, apex obtuse, base deep heart-shaped, lobes oblate rhombic, edge wavy obtuse teeth; both sides sparsely hirsute; petiole 4-6 cm long; tendrils 1-3, opposite to leaves. Inflorescence: sepals ovate, 2-5 cm long; pedicels densely yellow, 1.5-5 cm in diam. Axillary.

Born on hillside grassland. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, Guangxi, Hubei and Zhejiang.
