[plant morphology] single cluster. The stem is 6-8m in height and 3-4.5cm in diameter. The internode wall is thick, 30-36 cm long and powdery when young. The nodes are slightly raised. Branches often begin at the first node of culm base, and several branches cluster on nodes. Culm sheath falls early. The dorsal surface of sheath is glabrous, the ribs are slightly raised when dry, the apex is asymmetric arched, and the lateral side is slightly inclined to 1 / 10-1 / 8 of the total length of sheath. Sheath auricle slightly unequal in size, lateral one slightly larger, ovate, slightly undulate, margin undulate setae, small one elliptic. The tongue of the sheath is 2.5-3.5 mm in height, with short fimbrial hairs on the edge, straight, asymmetrical triangle or narrow triangle in shape. The base is connected with the ear on both sides, and the width of the connecting part is about 0.5 mm. Leaves lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, 10-18cm long, 11-17mm wide, abaxially densely pubescent.

On hillsides, roadsides or cultivated. It is mainly produced in Guangdong and Hainan.
