[plant morphology] Aquilaria tenuifolia

Small evergreen trees, up to 50 cm tall. Its young branches are densely yellow brown tomentose. Leaves alternate, dense; nearly leathery; linear, about 1.5-3.5 cm long, 1.5-2.5 mm wide, dark green above, densely covered with brown tomentose below, margin reversed, midrib concave above, convex below, yellow granular glands on twigs, young leaves and inflorescences. Corymb on the top of pre annual branches; white flowers, pedicel thin, 1-2 cm long, dense brown tomentose; calyx 5-lobed, persistent; corolla 5-lobed, lobes long ovate; stamens 10; style slender, persistent. Capsule ovate, with brown hairs, dehiscent from base to top. The flowering period is from June to July. The fruit period is from July to August.

It grows in moss water or on wet hillside. It is distributed in Northeast China and Inner Mongolia.
