[plant morphology] Hydrangea divaricata

Annual herbs, 30-140 cm high, all densely stained yellow, glabrous. Stem erect, slightly square, with more dichotomous branches on the upper part. Leaves opposite, lanceolate, 5-10 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, sparsely serrate, dark yellow green above, slightly pale below, thick papery; shortly stipitate. The Corolla is hidden in the calyx with 2 lips, the upper lip is entire, helmet shaped, the lower lip is flat, 3-lobed, and the outside is hairy; the stamens are 4, the lower 2 are longer, the anthers are dorsal, orange yellow, and turn red after anthesis; the ovary is 4-lobed Style stylar, stigma 2-lobed. Nutlets 4, ovate, 3 mm long, skin dark brown and shiny, calyx persistent. It blooms in autumn.

It grows in the grass on the barren slope near the valley. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and other places.
