[source] this product is the dried body of Zaocys dhumnades (Cantor). More than in summer and autumn, open the belly of the snake or peel off the snake skin first, leave the head and tail, remove the internal organs, disc into a disc, dry.

[character] the product is disc-shaped with disc diameter of about 16cm. The surface is dark brown or greenish black, densely covered with rhombic scales; the dorsal scales are in pairs, with 2-4 rows of scales in the middle of the back strongly ribbed, forming two black lines running through the whole body. The head plate is in the middle, oblate, most eyes are large, not sunken and glossy; 1 cheek scale, 1 anterior lower scale, 2 posterior scales. The ridge rises like a roof. The abdomen is cut open, the edge is curled inward, the spine muscle is thick, yellowish white or light brown, and the ribs are orderly arranged. The tail is tapered and long. Only the skin of the head and tail is left, and the middle part is smooth. The smell is light.

[function and indications] dispel wind, dredge collaterals and stop spasm. It is used for rheumatism, numbness and contracture, apoplexy, mouth and eye deviation, hemiplegia, convulsion, tetanus, leprosy, scabies and sores.

[indications]

1. Leprosy. Steam with three black snakes. Take the meat to bake, grind, add steaming cake to make meatballs, as big as rice. In order to feed silky fowl, wait for food to kill chicken cooked. Roast the chicken and grind it to the end. For each serving, the wine is delivered. Or add steamed cake with pills. After eating three or five black chickens, my mother is better. Another recipe: catch a big snake and kill it. After it's rotten, soak it in two bowls of water for seven days. Remove the slope and bone and pour in a liter of brown rice to soak it for one day. Dry the rice and feed a white chicken. When the feather falls off, the chicken is killed and cooked. When the chicken is consumed, it is drunk in an appropriate amount. After the chicken is consumed, it is bathed in a basin of hot water for more than half a day. The disease will heal itself.

2. Vitiligo. Six taels of black snake meat (fried with wine), two taels of Poncirus trifoliate (fried with bran), two taels of Achyranthes bidentata and Gastrodia elata, four taels of Shudi Dian, two taels of Tribulus terrestris (fried), two taels of Acanthopanax cortex, two taels of Fangfeng and two taels of Guixin, each filed in thin slices, packed in bags, soaked in two taels of wine and sealed for seven days. One hour at a time. Avoid chicken, goose, ray and hair.

3. Baby pinch mouth, can't suck milk. With black snake (wine soaked, peeled, bone, fried dry) half two, musk a point, a total of research for the end. Use half a cent for each, and pour it with Schizonepeta tenuifolia soup.

4. Traumatic stroke (Xiang Qiang, straight body). Use white snake and black snake, take two inches from each end, wash and moisten with wine, scrape out the meat, add a centipede, and fry together. Every service in the money, warm wine tune. This prescription is named dingmingsan.

5. The wooden tongue swells. Use a piece of snake gall, bake it, grind it into powder, and apply it on the tongue. If there is saliva, the leaves will go.
