Plant morphology is divided into three parts

Perennial herbs, 50-150 cm high. Rhizome short ancestor; main root thick, several vertical, root bark yellowish brown, yellow section, odor. Stems tufted, stout, upper branched. The leaves are alternate, ovate or oblong ovate, 6-18 cm long and 3.5-9 cm wide, apex pointed, margin undulate, below slightly pubescent; petiole 1-4 cm long. Flowers solitary, leaf axils, pedicels slender, drooping; calyx bell shaped, fruit enlarged, margin unequal teeth, ribbed veins 10, outer tomentose; corolla bell shaped, yellow green, 3.5-4 cm long, 3-3.5 cm in diameter, apex 5-lobed, retrorse; stamen 5; pistil 1, ovary superior, 2-locular, stigma hypertrophy. Capsule enclosed in enlarged calyx, subglobose, apex dehiscent. Seeds oblong or subpolygonal, ca. 2. 4 mm, brown. It blooms at the end of summer. The fruit period is late autumn.

It is found in forest, grassland or roadside. It is distributed in Yunnan.
