Herbs perennial, erect or oblique. The root is thick and spindle tuberous; the underground stem is round, purple brown, with sparse short hairs. Nutlets apically setose.

Born in grassland and riverside grass. It is distributed in Northeast, northwest and Inner Mongolia.
