Longlin Autonomous County Longlin Autonomous County is subordinate to Baise City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China. It is located in the northwest of Baise City, at the junction of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. It is connected with Tianlin County in the East, Xilin County in the South and Xingyi City in Guizhou Province in the north. Longlin ethnic autonomous county is located in the southeast edge of Yunnan Guizhou Plateau, with high altitude, mainly in the middle mountain, no plain, and the terrain in the south is higher than that in the north, inclining from west to East. It is a subtropical monsoon climate zone, with no severe heat in summer and cold in winter.

Longlin ethnic autonomous county is one of the only two ethnic autonomous counties in China. It has a variety of ethnic customs. It is known as the "Living Museum of ethnic minorities", and has won the honorary titles of "national science popularization demonstration county", "national advanced unit of family planning quality service" and so on. On September 25, 2018, it won the honorary title of "2018 e-commerce into rural comprehensive demonstration county" of the Ministry of Commerce. In March 2019, it was selected into the list of the first batch of revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization areas and counties. In November 2019, it will be selected as the second batch of counties (districts) that meet the water-saving society construction standards. In the spring and Autumn period from the Xia and Shang Dynasties to the Zhou Dynasty, Longlin county now belongs to the junction of Baiyue and Baipu.
During the Warring States period, it belonged to Yelang state.
In Qin Dynasty, it belonged to Qianzhong county.
In the first year of Ding (116 BC) of the Han Dynasty, after the establishment of juejing County, it belonged to juejuding county (the county government is located in Guangnan County, Yunnan Province).
During the Three Kingdoms period, it belonged to gouting County, an ancient Prefecture of Shu.

In the first year of song baohu (1253), anlongdong was set up under Sicheng Prefecture. This is the first administrative system in Longlin.
In the first year of yuanzhihe (1328), anlongzhou was established, which governed anlongdong and belonged to Yunnan Province. After Anlong was abandoned as a village, it was under the jurisdiction of Sicheng Prefecture, belonging to Guangxi Province.
In December 1402, the fourth year of Jianwen in the Ming Dynasty, the Chief Secretary of Anlong was set up, which was under the jurisdiction of Sicheng Prefecture and then under the jurisdiction of Guangxi buzhengshi.
In the fifth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1666), the governor of Anlong changed his land and returned it to Xilong Prefecture. Yongzheng five years (1727) changed to sichengfu. On December 21, 1729, the prefecture government moved to lirentang (now Xinzhou town). In 1734, Xilong was promoted to Zhili Prefecture, which governed Xilin County.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Xilong Prefecture was changed to Xilong County, which was subordinate to Tiannan road. In 1927, Zhili government of Guangxi Province was established. Nineteen years (1930) is the Baise militia district. In 1934, it was transferred to Baise administrative supervision area. In 1942, it was transferred to the office of the Commissioner of administrative supervision and security command of the Fifth District.
On March 1, 1950, Xilong county was liberated, belonging to Baise special district.
In August 1951, seven districts of Xilin County, including Yanjie, nalao, Longtan, Xiping, Guzhang, mabeng and Bada, were merged into Xilong County, and Xilong county was changed into Longlin county.
In 1953, the implementation of regional ethnic autonomy, the establishment of the Longlin ethnic United autonomous region (county level).
In September 1955, it was renamed Longlin Autonomous County.
In June 1961, six communes, namely, nalao, Nazuo, Xiping, Guzhang, mabeng and Bada, were designated to be under the jurisdiction of Xilin County. The name of Longlin Autonomous County remained unchanged and belonged to Baise region.

In 2002, Baise city was under the jurisdiction of Baise City.
