History of construction

On December 28, 2002, the State Council approved the abolition of Tiexi District and suburb of Anyang City and the establishment of Yindu District and Long'an District of Anyang City.

In 1997, the suburban area was 207.1 square kilometers with a population of 198000. It has jurisdiction over five townships: Dongjiao Township, Beijiao Township, Xijiao Township, Dongfeng Township and Longquan Township. The district government is located in Hangkong road. On December 28, 2002, Long'an district had jurisdiction over Wenming Avenue and Taihang District, Dongfeng Township and Longquan Town, and houqili, suqili, liqili, xiaoqili, Zongcun, sifufen, Yujiazhuang, houjiazhuang and shaopenyao villages in Dongjiao township.

On February 25, 2003, longan district government was officially established. (the district government moved to the south section of Meidong road, Dongfeng Township in August 2010.)

On December 31, 2005, longan district has jurisdiction over six streets, one town and two townships: Longquan town; matoujian Township and Dongfeng Township; Wenchang Avenue street, wenmingda street, Taihang community street, Zhongzhou Road Street, Tiancun street and Zhangwu street. There are 13 neighborhood committees and 130 administrative villages.

In 2013, matoujian township was replaced by township. After the adjustment, Long'an district has jurisdiction over one Township, two towns and six streets.

In November 2016, Anyang City adjusted the management scope and management system of some regions: Long'an district took charge of Shanying town and Majiang town of Anyang County.

On November 24, 2017, the Henan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs approved (yucivil affairs approval [2017] No. 16) that the reconstruction system of Shanying town and Majiang town was under the jurisdiction of Long'an district. Longan district is located in the east side of Taihang, the southwest and northwest are hilly areas, the rest are alluvial plain, the terrain is high in the southwest and low in the East. The highest point is 250 meters southwest of Shiyan village, Longquan Township, with an altitude of 242 meters; the lowest point is 1500 meters south of wangjiadian village, Dongjiao Township, with an altitude of 65.4 meters. The height difference is 176.6M. The suburban hills are a part of the Piedmont hills on the east side of Taihang Mountain, which are distributed in an isolated form, covering an area of 70.06 square kilometers, accounting for 33.8% of the total area of the region, and the total elevation is 100-242 meters.

The plain of Long'an district is a part of the proluvial plain on the east side of Taihang, and interlaced with the alluvial plain of Huan River and Hongshui River. The terrain inclines from southwest to northeast. The absolute elevation is mostly between 70 and 100 meters, the slope is 2.4 ‰, and the area is 167 square kilometers (including 12.23 square kilometers in Tiexi District and 17.70 square kilometers in Beiguan and Wenfeng districts), accounting for 70.4% of the total area of the city.

The strata in Long'an area belong to the sedimentary type of North China platform. The strata exposed from Taihang mountain to East in the West are Presinian, Sinian, Cambrian, Ordovician, Carboniferous and Permian. The area is mainly covered by quaternary system, with bedrock exposed sporadically only at the western edge.

Long'an district is located at the intersection of Tangdong fault and Tangxi fault and Anyang fault at the north end of Tangyin graben. Tangxi fault (qingyangkou fault) starts from the North Bank of the Yellow River in the south, extends to the north of Handan through Xinxiang and Anyang, and tends to the East, with a length of about 90 km. The Tangdong fault runs from Baibi to Qimen with a strike of about 25 ° and a dip of about 26 km to the West. Anyang fault extends from Yaocun, Linxian County in the west to the east of Anyang through Heshun, Linxian county and Xujiagou, Anyang County. It is nearly east-west and about 55 km long. It is also located at the intersection of the NE trending Tangxi Tangdong fault, Cixian fault, Linzhang fault and Anyang fault.

Longan district has a continental monsoon climate in the North warm temperate zone. It is characterized by four distinct seasons, moderate temperature, obvious monsoon, sufficient light, concentrated rainfall, long winter and drought in spring. According to the data analysis of Anyang meteorological station for more than 30 years (1950-1981, the same below), the standard of dividing the four seasons according to the temperature is as follows: winter is below 10 ℃, 140 days in total from November 6 to March 25 of the next year. Spring and autumn are from 10 ℃ to 22 ℃. There are 56 days from March 26 to May 20 in spring and 61 days from September 6 to November 5 in autumn. The temperature higher than 22 ℃ is summer, which lasts 108 days from May 21 to September 5.

The climate characteristics of four seasons in Long'an district are as follows: in spring (March, April and may), the suburb is controlled by continental air mass, the climate is dry, the weather is sunny, the sunshine increases, the temperature rises quickly, and the monthly temperature becomes 6-7 ℃. Spring is dry and rainless, with an average precipitation of 81mm, accounting for only 13% of the annual precipitation, so there is a saying that "spring rain is as expensive as oil"; in summer (June, July and August), the upper subtropical high strengthens and advances northward, the warm and humid ocean air blows, and the rainfall increases and concentrates, especially in July and August, accounting for 55% of the annual precipitation; in autumn (September, October and November), the subtropical high rises In winter (December, January and February), the continental air mass controls the suburbs, and the cold wave continuously flows down from the northwest, the temperature drops, accompanied by strong wind, and the climate is relatively dry and cold. The lowest temperature of the whole year appeared in January, with an average of - 1.8 ℃. The extreme minimum temperature once appeared at - 21.7 ℃ (January 12, 1951).

Longan district has 405000 cubic meters of limestone, 15.55 million cubic meters of white dry soil and 1 million cubic meters of red clay, and abundant underground oil reserves.
