335 cases were treated with huangjinggen decoction. The total effective rate was 84.2%, and the marked effective rate was 34.2%. It has good curative effect on asthma, cough, phlegm, inflammation and wheezing. In particular, the onset time of antiasthmatic is faster than that of antitussive and expectorant. Practice has proved that the curative effect of patients with mild disease and short course of disease is better than that of patients with severe disease and long course of disease; the curative effect of patients with other chronic diseases (such as hypertension, cor pulmonale, coronary heart disease, emphysema) is poor or invalid; according to TCM classification, the curative effect of deficiency cold type is the best, followed by phlegm heat type, and lung dryness type is poor.
