Shrubby herb, 30-90 cm high. Stems erect, branches cylindrical, densely spreading yellow pubescent. There are usually one leaflet, sometimes three leaflets; the apical leaflets are round, leathery, slightly concave at the apex, heart-shaped at the base, 1.8-3.4 cm long and 2.1-3.5 cm wide, glabrous on the top, densely covered with appressed hairs on the bottom, and the densest on the veins; the lateral leaflets, if present, are far smaller than the terminal leaflets, round or elliptic, 1-1.5 cm long; the petiole is 1-1.8 cm long; the stipules are small lanceolate and subulate, Striated.
