[plant morphology] pterygium multiflorum

Herbs perennial, ca. 65 cm tall. The roots are strong. Leaves alternate, oblanceolate, tapering upward, about 13 cm long and 4 cm wide, apex obtuse or rounded, base narrowly cuneate, margin with indistinct spiny teeth, both sides hairy; petiole winged, extending downward into pterygium. The flowers are light yellow, ligulate, narrow and tubular. Achenes with white hairs. It blooms in autumn.

It grows on hillside, thicket and under forest. It is distributed in Yunnan and other places.
