Court attack
In the winter of the first year of Chongzhen (1628), Zhu Youjian, emperor of Chongzhen, issued an imperial edict to select cabinet ministers. Wen Ti's benevolence and prestige were too shallow to participate, and Zhou yanru, who was highly valued by Emperor Chongzhen Zhu you, was not elected. Wen Tiren speculated that Zhu Youjian, the emperor of Chongzhen, would doubt it, so Shangshu impeached Qian Qianyi for taking bribes and forming a party, and he was not qualified to be elected. Before that, Qian Qianyi presided over the Zhejiang joint examination in the second year of Tianqi (1622), using joint language as a mark to admit Qian Qianqiu. Later, he was denounced, and Qian Qianyi was also punished. This matter has been settled for a long time, but Wen Ti Ren's re mention of the past makes emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian excited.
On the next day, Zhu Youjiao, Emperor Chongzhen, sent officials from six departments of the cabinet to the Wenhua hall, and ordered Wen Tiren and Qian Qianyi to the scene. Qian Qianyi didn't expect that Wen Tiren would impeach him. He was very wronged in his words. But Wen Tieren was full of indignation to slander Qian Qianyi. He said: "I was not an official and could not be impeached at will. When I met Chao Tui, I should avoid suspicion and not speak.
But the election of cabinet ministers involves the security of the country. Moreover, Qian Qianyi formed a clique for personal gain and accepted bribes. None of the Manchu ministers dared to speak. I can't bear to see you isolated, so I have to say. " Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, had long suspected that some court officials had formed a party. When he heard Wen Tiren say so, he agreed.
But the ruling cabinet ministers all said that Qian Qianyi was innocent, and Li Ke gave Zhang Yunru an active defense for Qian Qianyi: "Wen Ti Ren is actually keen on power. If Qian Qianyi is wrong, why did he wait until today to expose it?" Wen Tiren said: "I was just a small official at the beginning. Today, when I exposed Qian Qianyi, it was also for the sake of the imperial court to use people carefully. People like Zhang Yunru must be Qian Qianyi's accomplices. "
Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, was so angry that he ordered the Ministry of rites to look at Qian Qianqiu's papers. He blamed Qian Qianyi and said with emotion, "if I didn't have Wenti Ren, I would have made a mistake." Zhang Yunru was arrested and put into prison, and the ministers were severely reprimanded. During the debate, there was no one to help Wen Tiren, only Zhou yanru said: "in name, tingtui is fair, but in fact, there are only one or two people in charge, and others dare not speak. Once you talk, you make trouble for yourself. And Qian Qianqiu's case has already been decided, so there is no need to ask the ministers any more. "
So Emperor Zhu Youjian dismissed Qian Qianyi on the same day. Many officials have been implicated.
The first and the second in Jin Dynasty
In the spring of 1629, Wen Tiren was impeached to marry a prostitute, accept bribes, and seize property. Wen Tiren asked for his resignation and said, "because of Qian Qianyi, many people attacked me, but no one defended me. This shows my isolation." Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, once again called ministers to confront each other. Wen Tiren, Jiuhua and Zanhua debated for a long time, and finally attacked Qian Qianyi's private party. Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, believed that it was true. He summoned Han Li and other scholars to the inner hall, saying that the ministers did not know how to work for the country, but only knew how to retaliate by taking advantage of private interests and should be severely punished. Wen Ti Ren once again threatened emperor Chongzhen Zhu you Jian with resignation, and Emperor Chongzhen Zhu you Jian expressed sympathy.
Informed officials told the court that Qian Qianyi surrendered himself and could not be punished any more. Wen Tiren also said that the original testimony was made by Qian Qianyi himself. At that time, the official of Cao Yubian, the censor of zuodu, who tried Qian Qianqiu's case, was deeply dissatisfied with this. They jointly signed Shangshu: "Chen and others personally tried Qian Qianqiu's case, and thousands of people listened and heard it. Not one person can cover up and distort it at will. Wen Ti Ren is deceiving Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, to achieve his goal of promotion. " Seeing that the momentum is not good, Wen Ti Ren turns to say that these people are "friends". In the end, Qian Qian Yi is blamed. Later, because of his personal enmity, Wen Ti Ren insisted on confrontation with the ministers and refused to give up in any case. Zhu Youjian, the emperor of Chongzhen, thought that he was helpless in the imperial court, so he supported him even more. Soon, Zhou yanru entered the cabinet. In June of the next year, Wen Tiren, as Minister of rites and a Bachelor of Dongge, also realized his wish to join the cabinet.
After Wen Tiren joined the cabinet, he became more arrogant. After Wang Yongguang became the Minister of the Ministry of officials, min Hongxue eliminated his dissidents and got the protection of Wen Ti Ren. Censor fan, Gao Jie, Tang Shiji and Zhang Jie were all accepted as Wen Ti Ren's confidants. Wen Tiren envied that Zhou yanru's official position was above him, so he planned to overthrow him. Qian Longxi was implicated in Yuan Chonghuan's case and was sentenced to death. Qian Longxi pleaded with him. Zhou yanru said that emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian was angry and could not be rescued. Wen Tiren lied that emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian was not very angry. Qian Longxi's friends alienated Zhou yanru. After Zhou yanru was dismissed, the court officials hated Wen Tiren as the first assistant of the cabinet and wanted to recall he ruchong, who had joined the cabinet with Zhou yanru. He Rucong said: "a gentleman and a villain don't stand side by side. If I don't go to the court, Wen Ti Ren will have to worry about my good governance." Soon, Wen Tiren became the first assistant to the cabinet.
The trouble of friends
Wen Tiren was favored by Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, and became more jealous and arrogant. The people he wants to recommend should be asked to put forward in secret before he supports them. When you want to frame anyone, you have to pretend to be generous first, and then say something that emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian taboo to make emperor Chongzhen angry. Zhu Youjian, the emperor of Chongzhen, was often distracted by him, but he never found out. Yao Ximeng was originally a lecturer, because he wanted to be promoted to Zhan Shi. Wen Tiren hated him, so he used his affairs of pretending to be a martial student to take him from his post and take charge of the South court. Luo Yuyi, the Minister of rites, was very famous because Wen Tiren thought that he was satirizing himself when he said in his article to Zhu Youjian, the emperor of Chongzhen, "you have not got anyone." so he had to get rid of it.
Wen Tiren personally impeached him, saying: "today, Luo Yuyi said that the regulations are too simple, and he did not agree to let him change them. In this way, I, the chief assistant of the cabinet, can not be the leader of all officials." Zhu Youjian, the emperor of Chongzhen, ordered the Ministry of officials to discuss with him. Min Hongxue, the Secretary of state, took the opportunity to say, "the emperor is holy and bright, and there is no need for Luo Yuyi to say more." Luo Yuyi was removed from office. Wei Zhongxian Left Party Day and night hope that Wen Tiren can overthrow the case, attack Donglin Party. As it happens, the Minister of rites, the censor of zuodu, is vacant. Wen Tiren secretly asks his servant Zhang Jie to recommend LV Chunru, who is involved in the rebellion, to test the reaction of Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen. The officials were in an uproar, and Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen, was also very unhappy. Since then, Wen Ti Jen has been more resentful of the opposition.
Wen Zhenmeng entered the cabinet because he spoke well about the spring and Autumn Annals. Wen Tiren couldn't stop him, so he sent a spy to watch him every day to spy on his fault, and sent someone to impeach him until Wen Zhenmeng was driven away. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, peasants revolted all over the country, and the imperial court prepared to set up governors of the five provinces. Peng Runan and Wang Qingbai, the military ministers, did not dare to go, so Wen Tiren sheltered them and no longer set up governors of the five provinces. The rebel army invaded Fengyang (now Anhui), the rebel soldiers invaded, and the imperial mausoleum was burned. Some people impeached Wen Tiren, who only knew how to take bribes to protect his accomplices, which led to the burning of the imperial mausoleum. Wen Tiren took advantage of a reason to remove him from office. Wen Zhenmeng objected and was expelled. Wen Tiren is still very dissatisfied, and he will frame up and put him in prison.
Wen Tiren assisted the imperial government for several years. Because he had a grudge with most of the court ministers before he joined the cabinet, he did not dare to act recklessly. He showed his honesty and prudence to Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen. But at that time, the soldiers of Qing Dynasty ravaged the common people near the capital, disturbed the Central Plains, made the border desolate, and made the common people's life increasingly difficult. He never gave a suggestion.
Failure is banished
Wen Ti Jen, who has done nothing in politics, is busy fighting against people all day. Liu kongzhao's impeachment of Ni Yuanlu and Chen Qixin's impeachment of Huang Jingfang were all done according to Wen Tiren's instructions. Chen Zizhuang, the Minister of rites, once accused Wen Tiren face to face. He soon went to prison in the name of discussing the affairs of his clan and vassal king and disobeying the will of Zhu Youjian, Emperor Chongzhen. Those who have a good relationship with Wen Tiren and who are friends with him are mediocre and simple. Wen Ti Ren has no strong points, only knows to offer a favor to Zhu you, Emperor Chongzhen. He was obsessed with getting rid of dissidents and attacking political enemies. He felt that he had made too many enemies, which might lead to revenge. In order not to leave a handle on others, he presented to Emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian Shangshu and Nei
