In response to the first question, Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office, said that it is understood that the relevant authorities have made arrangements to further improve cross-strait direct flights, requiring mainland airlines and relevant airports operating cross-strait routes to provide more high-quality and convenient services for cross-strait exchanges around the work goals of "safety, convenience, and warmth". For cross-strait Spring Festival overtime flights, relevant regulatory authorities will actively respond to the needs of cross-strait people, especially Taiwanese compatriots returning home for reunion and visiting the mainland for tourism, and support cross-strait airlines to apply for Spring Festival overtime flight services.
On the second question, Chen Binhua said that this is a personal statement of scholars. I would like to emphasize that since 1949, the CPC, the Chinese government and the Chinese people have always regarded solving the Taiwan question and achieving the complete reunification of the motherland as their unswerving historical tasks. The reunification of the motherland is an inevitable requirement for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era.
