Chen Jie, spokesman of the state immigration administration and director of the Department of policies and regulations, said that at present, the overseas epidemic continues to spread, new mutant strains are accelerating the spread, and the situation of foreign defense import facing China is still severe. The National Immigration administration once again reminded that the current overseas epidemic is still prevalent and has not been effectively controlled. We should cherish the hard won achievements of epidemic prevention and control in China, strictly abide by the epidemic prevention regulations, and reduce the non urgent and unnecessary cross-border flow of people.
Chen Jie stressed that the National Immigration administration has asked immigration management institutions at all levels to analyze specific problems, and do not engage in "one size fits all" and avoid simplification in the process of policy implementation.
Chen Jie said that at present, for those who really need to go abroad for study, employment and business, for those who really need to come to China for economic, trade and scientific and technological activities, and for those who really need to enter China for urgent humanitarian reasons, the immigration administration will sign and issue entry certificates in time after verification. In particular, for Chinese citizens who participate in international epidemic prevention and anti epidemic and need to enter and leave the country because of the resumption of work and production of enterprises, all levels will take the initiative to provide priority acceptance and approval and urgent certificate processing services. At the same time, they will continue to facilitate visa and residence suspension for foreigners in China in accordance with the law, take practical actions to support global epidemic prevention and anti epidemic and help restore economic production.
