Guangyuan has been the transportation hub and material distribution center in the adjacent areas of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu since ancient times. The reconstructed Guangyuan new railway station includes Baoji Chengdu double track railway and wanguang railway. Lanzhou Chongqing railway and Xicheng passenger dedicated line are integrated into one station. It is located in the hinterland of Chengdu, Xi'an, Chongqing and Lanzhou. With the completion of Baoji Chengdu double track railway, wanguang Guangzhou railway, Chengdu Mianyang Guangzhou expressway, Guangzhou Shaanxi Expressway, Guangba expressway, Guangnan expressway, Guanggan expressway, Guangba Guangnan expressway, as well as the Lanzhou Chongqing railway, Guangba Guangshan expressway connecting line and Xicheng passenger dedicated line under construction.

By the end of 2017, the total mileage of domestic roads was 19971 km. Among them, 15910 km of grade highway, 392 km of Expressway and 2021 km of national and provincial highway. The annual turnover of highway passenger and freight transportation was 7.884 billion ton kilometers, an increase of 8.5% over the previous year. The railway operating mileage is 503 km. The total passenger traffic volume of the whole year was 6.434 million, an increase of 79.3%. The volume of railway freight transport was 2.821 million tons, down 1.7%. Five civil aviation operating lines were opened, and the total passenger traffic volume of civil aviation in the whole year was 255400, a decrease of 3.7%. The total volume of civil aviation freight transport was 350.2 tons, an increase of 9.4%.

At the end of the year, the number of civil vehicles in the city was 244000, an increase of 13.0% over the previous year. Among them, there were 228500 private cars, an increase of 13.6%. There were 123000 civilian cars, an increase of 13.4%. Among them, 118400 private cars increased by 13.7%.

Railway

Baoji Chengdu double track railway, Guangyuan Wanzhou railway Guangba section has been opened, Daba section is under construction, and Dazhou Wanzhou section has been opened. In Jianlan Chongqing railway and Xicheng high speed railway. Guangyuan Jiuzhaigou railway has entered the 13th five year plan of Sichuan provincial government. Since July 2015, Guangyuan railway station began to be transformed. After the transformation, the new Guangyuan terminal station will become the intersection of Baocheng railway, Lanzhou Chongqing railway, Xicheng passenger dedicated line and Guangyuan Dazhou railway, and become the second largest railway hub station in Sichuan except Chengdu.

aviation

Guangyuan Panlong Airport (completed in 2000, suspended in 2004, resumed in 2009, 4C level, and will be expanded into 4D class before 2014) has opened direct flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shijiazhuang and Guiyang. The Airbus A319 medium-sized aircraft is used in Guangyuan Shenzhen flight, with 4 flights on 1, 3, 4 and 6 days a week (complementary with Guangzhou on 2, 5 and 7 days a week, forming a daily flight).

waterway

Guangyuan port, the fifth largest inland river port in Sichuan with production capacity after Luzhou port, Yibin port, Nanchong port and Guang'an port, was officially opened to navigation in December 2014.

There are 4 navigable rivers (Jialing River, Bailong River, Donghe River and Qingjiang River) in Guangyuan City, with a navigation mileage of 568.6 km. There are 10 large and medium-sized reservoirs such as Bailong lake, Tingzikou Reservoir area and Shengzhong reservoir area. By the end of 2017, there were 72 boat towns and 131 ferries in Guangyuan City. There are 756 ships registered or filed by maritime authorities, including 231 passenger, ferry and tourist vessels.
