Li Li, Mao Yuanxin's daughter, has gone through the process from a complete stranger to a father daughter relationship. When his daughter Li Li was born in January 1977, Mao Yuanxin had just been detained for three months, and his wife Quan Xiufeng was also under quarantine. Li Li was admitted to the College of deaf and dumb adult education in the Academy of fine arts of Shanghai University, and got her diploma in 2000. Mao Yuanxin is helping his daughter to learn English and prepare for the entrance examination.
