Wang Jiayi
Wang Jiayi, born in Nanjing from 1919 to 1988, is a Chinese film director with his masterpiece five golden flowers.
In 1935, he studied in the Medical College of Shanghai Sinian University. In 1937, he joined the Shanghai National Salvation drama team. In 1940, he joined the experimental troupe of Yan'an Lu Xun Art College as an actor. In 1948, he joined the Northeast film studio. He once played a role in China's first feature film "bridge" and was an independent director in 1949.
Acting experience
Since 1950, he has directed "march forward" and "when the grapes are ripe". In 1958, Beijing Film Studio and French art production company garance CO produced the film kite as one of the directors. This is the first color children's feature film CO produced by China and foreign countries, and also the first Chinese and foreign CO produced film in New China. In 1959, together with photographer Wang Chunquan and composer Lei Zhenbang, he went deep into the minority areas and produced the film "five golden flowers" in only four months. In 1960, he won the Silver Eagle Award for best director of the second Asian African Film Festival in Egypt.
