Zhuo fan used to be a contract artist in TVB, most of whom played minor supporting roles. After his contract with TVB was terminated in 1997, Zhuo fan moved to the mainland and played an important role in many costume dramas.

In 1995, he took part in "Bao Qingtian" by Dilong, playing Anshun, a bartender, and cooperated with Huang Rihua and Liao Qizhi.
