He was born in Bamiancheng, Liaoning Province in January 1924. He graduated from the Academy of social education and majored in film performance. He has been engaged in acting activities in Sichuan, Beijing and other places. He was transferred to the actor troupe of Beijing Film Studio in 1950, and once worked as a director in Beijing Science and education film studio.
