Hong Yifeng (October 30, 1927 - February 24, 2010), whose real name is Hong Wenlu, is a famous Taiwanese artist, known as "the king of Baodao songs".

Hong Yifeng (October 30, 1927 - February 24, 2010), whose real name is Hong Wenlu, is a well-known songwriter of Minnan language. Hong Yifeng, born in Yanshui Town, Tainan County, died of pancreatic cancer on February 24, 2010 at the age of 82, and won the 21st Taiwan Golden Melody Award special contribution award in June of the same year.
Baodao singer
It is well-known in Taiwan for its classic songs in Southern Fujian, such as "twilight in fresh water", "old love", "farewell to the poor flower" and so on. Known as Taiwan's "king of treasure island songs", he has produced many well-known classical songs. His two sons, Hong Ronghong and Hong Jingyao, have also inherited their father's career and become famous singers and producers respectively. Hong Yifeng is a well-known singer of Minnan dialect, and also a master of Ci and song creation. Many old songs such as "yearning people", "old love" and "dusk of fresh water" come from him, and many of them are catchy. Fortunately, his special singing skills were handed down to his son Hong Ronghong.

In September 2007, he was hospitalized for a fall injury at home. Although he suffered head injury, fortunately he was not seriously affected.
In December 2009, he was found suffering from pancreatic cancer. On December 26, 2009, he was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment due to shock. However, he still suffered from central nervous system damage and multiple organ failure. For many days, he relied on breathing apparatus to survive, but he did not wake up. His family accompanied him all the way, hoping for a miracle.
On February 24, 2010, he died of pancreatic cancer in the Affiliated Hospital of Taipei Medical University. He lived 82 years.
On May 14, 2010, he won the 21st Taiwan Golden Melody Award - "special contribution award".

Hong Yifeng has three sons and one daughter with his ex-wife and three daughters with his current wife, Chen ailing. The three sons born to his ex-wife, Hong Ronghong, Hong Jingyao and Hong Rongliang, all work in music and performing arts.
Hong Ronghong said that his father was naturally and peacefully picked up by God. His younger brothers and sisters rushed back from the United States and Japan to accompany him. On New Year's Eve, the whole family got together and kept watch for his father in front of his sickbed. Although his old man's organs were almost exhausted, he seemed to feel the call of family affection. Of course, during this period, I would like to thank my most hardworking aunt (Chen ailing, Hong Yifeng's stepmother). He stressed that because he was reluctant to leave his father, he never considered removing the respirator. At the last moment, the priest led his family to pray and sing poetry for his father. He firmly believed that his father was in the arms of God. For us, my father finally took off the burden. Hong Ronghong said that the church held a memorial meeting about his father's affairs, and the location of the cemetery was also discussed with his family.
