He has studied music since childhood and received the most formal classical music education in the Central Conservatory of music. He has been deeply in love with jazz since 1995. He is the first generation to learn jazz in China. Now he is a professor of jazz trumpet in Beijing modern conservatory of music.

Artistic experience

He studied music since childhood. In 1985, he was admitted to the middle school attached to the Central Conservatory of music. He studied trumpet under the guidance of Professor Ji Ruikai. In 1991, he was admitted to Beijing Symphony Orchestra as a trumpet player. In 1992, he was admitted to the Central Conservatory of music for further study. At school, he was the chief trumpet of China Youth Symphony Orchestra and China Youth Symphony Orchestra.

In 1995, he was admitted to the master class of Vienna National Academy of Arts, studied under the famous trumpet player Adolf Haller, and was the chief trumpet of Vienna Youth Symphony Orchestra, and toured Austria.

Later, he became interested in jazz and joined the "left hand" jazz band in 1995. He joined "Jazz Band Liu Yuan" in 1996. He joined the Chinese Film Orchestra in 1997. In 1997, he joined Zang Tianshuo's 1989 band and performed in various music festivals. He is now a trumpeter in the Red Hand Jazz Band.
