[plant morphology] wufengqi, also known as recumbent Panax notoginseng.

Herbs perennial, ca. 50 cm tall. Stem lower part inclined, fleshy, green or light brown, slightly angulate. Leaves alternate, ovate or elliptic, 7-13 cm long, 4.5-8 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate, margin irregularly shallowly serrate, both sides with short hairs. The head is arranged in an open corymb, terminal; the involucre is cylindrical, bracts in a row, green, with several small bracts near the base; the flowers are all tubular, apex 5-lobed, purplish red or bright yellow; stamens are 5; the base of style is small globose, stigma bifurcated, hairy. Achene is small, have edge line, crown hair is most.

It grows in the grass on the hillside. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guangxi and other places.
