Chen Yunshan was born in 1928 in Sheyang, Jiangsu Province. Now he is a member of Jiangsu Calligrapher Association and Jiangsu Poetry Association. He was employed as the vice president of the Research Institute of Chinese painting and calligraphy, vice president of the China International Painting and Calligraphy Institute, and vice president of the Research Institute of Chinese national culture.
